Dennis Anestoudis holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geophysics with Honours from Curtain University of Technology in Western Australia.

From 1996 to 2006, he worked with Schlumberger in Australia, the United Kingdom, Gabon and Angola, progressing to the role of Area Geophysicist for Western and Southern Africa, specialising in borehole seismic and sonic products and services.

He joined Hellenic Petroleum in 2007 and Energean in 2008. From 2012 to 2016, he worked with Genel Energy, participating in a discovery well in Morocco.
He returned to Energean in 2017, contributing to the Karish Field Development Plan and to the discovery of five fields: Karish North, Zeus, Athena, Hercules and Hermes.

As Head of G&G and Exploration, he is currently responsible for exploration, development, production and energy transition projects across the company. His responsibilities include resource allocation, technical excellence and adherence to technical standards.

Dimitra is an incoming Assistant Professor at the Department of Management Science and Technology at the Athens University of Economics and Business. She is also a Research Fellow in the Electricity Research Programme at Oxford Institute for Energy Studies (OIES) and a Lecturer at Christ Church College, University of Oxford, working on economics and regulation of the electricity sector. She is a member of the Oxford Energy Policy Club and an Honorary Visiting Fellow at City St George’s, University of London (previously City, University of London). She obtained her PhD and MSc from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2014 and 2011, respectively. Before joining OIES, she was a Lecturer at City St George’s, University of London. She was also the Programme Director for the MSc in Renewable Energy and Power Systems Management; a member of the Energy, Sustainability and Net-Zero Research Centre and the Artificial Intelligence Research Centre, both at City, University of London. Prior to her tenure at City, Dimitra was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Oxford. Her diverse experience extends to the industry as well; she previously worked at the Smart Grid & Technology Department at Commonwealth Edison (ComEd) in Chicago, Illinois. She has been actively participating in working groups and other professional service activities, such as being Co-organiser of Risk and Resilience Day 2023, EPSRC Supergen Energy Networks Hub and has been invited to give seminars at various places, such as Imperial College London and King’s College London, UK; Argonne National Laboratory, US; and MINES ParisTech, France.

Pandelis Biskas is a Professor in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering in the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He is considered an expert in power systems modelling and in the modelling of European electricity markets. His deep knowledge of the European electricity markets’ operation in both regulatory framework and in daily operation has provided him a key role in the Greek wholesale electricity market, where he is widely known for unit commitment and economic dispatch applications. His research interests expand in optimization models for electricity market clearing and assets’ bidding strategies.

He worked for 4.5 years as a Business Development Engineer in the Electricity Market Department of the Hellenic Transmission System Operator, in which the daily business of the Greek wholesale electricity market was performed (Capacity rights auctions, scheduling of imports/exports, Day-Ahead Scheduling, Dispatching Scheduling of production units). During this period, he participated in working groups for the harmonization of HTSO with the provisions of the “Greek Grid and Exchange Code”, in commissions for the “Mathematical Formulation of the Day-Ahead Scheduling problem”, and in groups for the harmonization of the market rules in the Central-South European (CSE) Region (including Italy, France, Switzerland, Austria, Slovenia and Greece). He was the delegate of HTSO for the development of the Day-Ahead Scheduling solver (in the cooperation with AREVA T&D), which is still applied for the clearing of the day-ahead market in Greece.

As a member of the PSL/AUTH, through the Research Committee of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, he led (as a Principal Investigator) 80 projects and participated (as a Researcher/Consultant) in another 40 projects funded by Greek and international institutions, energy associations, energy companies, etc, during the last fifteen years. As an Electrical Engineer, he has undertaken and implemented more than 350 projects for power system operations and analysis, energy studies, risk management analysis in the production, trading and retail sector, price forecasting, consulting services on wholesale and retail electricity markets, etc. Professor Pandelis Biskas, as a senior market analyst of ECCO International Inc. (an internationally known company, providing consulting services to Governments, Regulators, Utilities, Independent System Operators, with registered address in California, USA), has participated in more than 50 projects in the field of wholesale electricity market design, algorithm modelling and market simulation in Greece, Cyprus, Turkey, Poland and Israel during the last 17 years.

He holds the position of General Manager of Regulatory Policy of IPTO S.A., from June 2023 until today and at the same time he is a member of the Board of Directors of the Regional Coordination Center (SEleNe CC) and of ARIADNE INTERCONNECTION from March 2024 until today. He served as Chairman of the Regulatory Authority for Energy (RAE) for a full term from June 2015 to June 2020.

He was born in Eggares, Naxos in 1972. He graduated from the General High School of Naxos in 1990 and in the same year he was admitted to the Hellenic Air Force Academy (66th Airmen). In 1991 he interrupted his studies at HAFA to enter NTUA, where he obtained the Diploma of Electrical & Computer Engineering (Energy direction) in 1996. In June 1998 he completed the postgraduate course of NTUA and in March 2001 he was awarded a PhD in Engineering from NTUA (excellent), dissertation on the optimal development of electricity networks with the integration of large-scale RES.

From 1996 to 2001 he worked as a freelancer, in parallel with his postgraduate studies. He taught for about a decade (2002-2011) at the School of Technological Applications of the Technological Educational Institute of Piraeus (today University of West Attica), as well as for many years at public VTI (Ilioupoli and Argyroupoli). From March 2001 to June 2015 and from June 2020 to May 2023, he worked as a Special Scientist – executive, in various positions of responsibility at RAE. He has contributed to numerous research projects.

He has authored numerous scientific publications in international reputable journals, speaks English, has attended and lectured in a series of seminars, has participated as a speaker in numerous conferences and has been honored with awards and honorary distinctions for his performance in his studies and field of professional engagement.

Dr. Shkelqim Bozgo is a senior energy expert and project manager with over 35 years of professional experience in the fields of energy infrastructure, regulation, oil and gas operations, and renewable energy development. He currently serves as Managing Partner of SEA Consulting and Lecturer at the Polytechnic University of Tirana, Faculty of Geology and Mining.

He holds a Doctorate in Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Tirana (2022), an MBA jointly from the University of Tirana and the University of Nebraska (2004), and a Petroleum Engineering Diploma from the Institut Algerien du Petrole (1988). His specialized certifications include European Energy Manager (EUREM), Public-Private Partnership training (IP3), Leadership and Project Management courses from TAP-AG, and Certified Trainer status from the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (UK).

Throughout his career, Dr. Bozgo has led and contributed to major energy and infrastructure initiatives across Albania, the Western Balkans, and the EU region. His key professional highlights include:

• Country Manager for the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) (2013–2017), responsible for all project activities in Albania, managing over 2,000 personnel and ensuring regulatory compliance, land access, and stakeholder engagement.
• President of the Energy Community Regulatory Board (ECRB) and Commissioner at the Albanian Energy Regulatory Authority (ERE) (2009–2013), leading the adoption of EU-compliant market and gas regulatory frameworks, including the TAP third-party access exemption.
• Managing Partner of SEA Consulting, overseeing energy feasibility studies, due diligences, and strategy projects for clients such as ExxonMobil, Uniper, ALBGAZ, and EU-funded programs on disaster ris k management and energy transition (2017–present).
• Project leader in regional studies on LNG import terminals, hydrogen opportunities in the East Mediterranean, and interconnector development between Kosovo and North Macedonia.

Dr. Bozgo combines technical, managerial, and academic expertise, with strong command of EU regulatory frameworks, pipeline hydraulics, and energy market design. His leadership has been recognized for organizational restructuring, staff development, and successful delivery of complex projects.

He has authored or co-authored over 20 technical publications and conference papers on topics such as natural gas infrastructure, regulatory reform, geothermal energy, and power system flexibility. Fluent in Albanian, English, and French, and proficient in Italian, Dr. Bozgo is an active Partner of the Institute of Energy for South Eastern Europe (IENE) and continues to contribute to regional energy dialogue and policy development.

Pantelis Capros is Professor Emeritus in Energy Economics and Operations Research at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). He is the founder of the E3MLab, a research group modelling the interactions between energy, economy, and environment. His world-renowned models PRIMES, PRIMES-TREMOVE, Prometheus, and GEM-E3 have been widely applied in impact assessment studies conducted by the European Commission and employed by various governments and utility organisations.

Professor Capros has an engineering degree from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), three MSc degrees in Economics, Computer Science, and Operations Research, and a PhD in Mathematical Economics. He has authored several scholarly books and published over 200 scientific papers.
Prof. Capros was the first Chairman of the Regulatory Authority for Energy in Greece, a member of the Board of Directors of the Public Power Corporation for several years, and a Professor at the University of Paris I Sorbonne until 2000. Additionally, he assumed the role of interim Minister of Energy and Environment in Greece from May to June 2023. He is currently the President of E3Modelling SA, part of the WSP group.

Dionysis Chionis is the co-founder of Athlos Energy, the first Greek company active in the field of nuclear energy. Athlos Energy aims to prepare and deliver the first nuclear project in Greece. He has many years of experience in the Swiss nuclear industry and holds a PhD in Nuclear Physics from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL). In addition, he holds a Master’s degree in Nuclear Engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETHZ) and a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens.

Ambassador Michael B. CHRISTIDES joined the Hellenic Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1976 as first in his Class and served with distinction until his retirement in September 2014. Among other assignments he served as Ambassador of Greece to Bulgaria, to Turkiye and to Argentina and held senior posts in the Hellenic MFA.
He spent more than 20 years dealing with S.E. European / Balkan issues, while travelling extensively in the region. He acquired a broad knowledge of the political and economic realities there and established a wide personal network of high-level contacts.

Following his retirement, he was elected as Secretary General of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) organization, assuming his duties in July 2015. He was unanimously reappointed for a 2nd mandate, until July 2021. Under his guidance the BSEC Organization matured into a trustworthy partner and interlocutor on the international scene.

A cum laude graduate of Athens College, Leo Drollas attended the London School of Economics where he gained his B.Sc. (Econ) and M.Sc. (Econ), also completing a doctorate on the foreign trade sector in disequilibrium.  After leaving the LSE in 1975, Leo Drollas worked in London at the Commodities Research Unit and then joined British Petroleum in 1977 as the company’s first econometrician.  At BP he managed the energy and economic modelling team in the company’s Corporate Planning Department (1980-86) and was responsible for many studies on various aspects of the oil market.  Whilst at BP, Leo Drollas was seconded for two years to the Confederation of British Industry (1986-88), where he held the post of Deputy Director of Economics.  In 1989 Leo Drollas joined as its Chief Economist the Centre for Global Energy Studies (CGES), a think-tank founded in that year by Sheikh Yamani, the former Oil Minister of Saudi Arabia.  Leo Drollas was the Deputy Director and Chief Economist at the CGES from 1989 until 2011, becoming in that year the CGES’ Director.  During his time at the CGES, which ceased operations in April 2014, Leo dealt with many diverse subjects in the oil and gas sphere.  Over a career spanning 48 years, Leo Drollas has written many articles and studies on oil, energy and economics in general, and co-authored “Oil – the Devil’s Gold” with Jon Greenman.  He has spoken at numerous conferences all over the world and has appeared frequently on TV and radio programmes and been quoted regularly on the main wire services and leading financial newspapers.  Leo Drollas is a non-executive director of Elin, a Greek energy company, and an adviser to Argus Consulting, writing monthly on the crude oil futures market.

Over 35 years experience in the oil & gas sector in senior management positions. Currently CEO of e-CNHC (E-C Cyprus Natural Hydrocarbons Company Ltd), providing management and advisory services in the oil & gas and energy sectors in Cyprus and the region. A lot needs to be done and the aim of the company is to contribute to the successful development of these sectors for the future of Cyprus.

Prior to this, as CEO of KRETYK, Cyprus’ national hydrocarbons company, I was responsible for implementing Cyprus government’s strategy for the development of its hydrocarbons sector.

Since the liberalization of the Electricity Market in 2001, he joined the personnel of the Hellenic Transmission System Operator (HTSO). From 2001 to 2012, he successively held positions from Supervisor to Director of the Operation Control Directorate of HTSO, being responsible for the System Operation Security while implementing actions according to the European directives and regulations for the liberalization of the Electricity Market. He managed significant crises in the Transmission System (handling high summer loads during the period 2005-2009, natural gas shortages in 2008 & 2012).

From 2012 to 2015, with the establishment of the Independent Power Transmission Operator (IPTO), he continued as a Director in the same Directorate. During the period 2015-2021, he successively served as Director in the Directorates of Strategy & System Planning, and Asset Management at IPTO.

Mike Fulwood joined the OIES in October 2017.  Mike has over 40 years of experience in the gas industry.  Before joining the OIES, Mike worked as a consultant, with Energy Markets between 1997 and 2008 and then with NexantECA as Director, Global Gas & LNG.    Before working as consultant, Mike worked for British Gas from 1979, latterly as a Director at British Gas Transco, in charge of the price control review, and prior to that President of British Gas Americas during which time he oversaw many successful acquisitions and projects including the acquisitions of Metrogas (Argentina), NGC (now Dynegy), the Bolivia – Brazil pipeline and Trinidad LNG project.

While working as a consultant Mike undertook a wide range of projects in all areas of the gas chain, covering regulatory matters, gas pricing and tariffs, gas sales and transportation contracts, market studies and price forecasting, as well as helping develop NexantECA’s World Gas Model.  Between 2009 and 2018, Mike was Chairman of the International Gas Union’s Gas Pricing Group, and still undertakes the IGU’s Wholesale Gas Price Survey.  He also speaks widely at gas conferences all over the world, particularly on gas markets, gas trading matters and gas pricing.

Dionysios Gkoutis is the Director-General of the Hellenic Survey of Geology & Mineral Exploration (H.S.G.M.E.) and serves as Vice President of EuroGeoSurveys. With professional experience in both Greece and the United Kingdom, he has extensive experience across public and private sector projects, specializing in geological and geotechnical studies, geotechnical design, and project supervision.

He leads H.S.G.M.E.’s scientific operations and strategic initiatives, promoting institutional modernization and scientific excellence in support of national and European priorities. Under his leadership, Greece’s national geological survey has further strengthened its contribution to sustainable development, the energy transition, and climate resilience, while advancing the integration of geoscientific knowledge into public policy and European decision-making processes.

Mr. Gkoutis holds a degree in Geology and Geo-Environmental Sciences from the University of Athens and a Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering from the University of Birmingham.

Christos Housiadas is the Chairman of the Greek Atomic Energy Commission (EEAE), serving since 2008. He has been instrumental in the evolution of EEAE into a modern regulatory authority for radiation and nuclear safety.

He is a Mechanical Engineer from the National Technical University of Athens and completed his doctoral studies at the Institut National Polytechnique de Grenoble (INPG), France. His career includes many years of research at the CEA in Grenoble, France, the Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission in Ispra, Italy, and the National Centre for Scientific Research (NCSR) “Demokritos” in Greece. His scientific work is in the areas of reactor thermal-hydraulics and aerosol flows.

At the European level, he chaired the ATO Council Working Party during the 2014 Greek EU Presidency, achieving the adoption of the landmark Council Directive 2014/87/Euratom on nuclear safety. He also served for two terms as Vice-Chair of the European Nuclear Safety Regulators Group (ENSREG), representing a non-nuclear EU Member State.

Dr. Marios Koniaris is a Teaching and Research Associate (EDIP) at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). He holds a Diploma and a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from NTUA, an MBA (Athens University of Economics and Business and NTUA) and an MSc in Engineering Project Management (Hellenic Open University). His research focuses on artificial intelligence for legal and regulatory texts, knowledge graphs and the integration of heterogeneous industrial data. He has served as Policy and Project Officer at the General Secretariat for Research and Innovation.

Christos Konstas is a Mechanical Engineer, graduate of the Technical University of Ilmenau (TU Ilmenau, Germany), specializing in Metrology, and a PhD candidate at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). He currently serves as Executive Secretary of the Hellenic Solar Industry Association (EBHE) and Research Associate at NTUA, participating in national and European research projects.

He has more than twenty years of professional experience in the energy sector. For a decade, he served at the Laboratory of Solar and Other Energy Systems of the National Centre for Scientific Research "Demokritos", where he developed extensive expertise in renewable energy technologies, solar thermal systems, energy metrology and energy efficiency.

As Executive Secretary of EBHE, he coordinates the Association's activities and actively contributes to the development of technical and regulatory proposals supporting the deployment of solar thermal technologies. Antonis N. Koumpias is a Senior Associate in the Energy Infrastructure department of KYRIAKIDES GEORGOPOULOS Law Firm, specializing in the regulatory framework governing energy-related activities. His practice centers on the legal aspects of project development and permitting, with a particular focus on electricity generation from renewable energy sources (RES) and battery energy storage systems (BESS). His work focuses on the acquisition, financing and development of large-scale photovoltaic, wind, biogas, and BESS projects. He has been involved in large scale projects across the RES spectrum, from early-stage developments to mature portfolios exceeding several gigawatts. He has extensive experience advising international energy developers, financial institutions, and private equity funds on complex transactions and regulatory matters, providing strategic guidance on structuring projects to promote swift development, regulatory compliance, and successful implementation.

Alexandros Koutroumpousis is a Mechanical Engineer (Meng), a graduate of the National Technical University of Athens (1999) and holds an MSc in Production & Energy Management from the same university (2003). Since December 2001, he has held several positions in leading energy companies (DEPA S.A., Attiki Gas Supply Company S.A., Natural Gas Hellenic Energy Company S.A., PPC S.A.), with responsibilities covering commercial policy design, engineering-procurement-construction (EPC) of natural gas installations for industrial and commercial customers, energy markets regulation and policy development/compliance, as well as the design and development of sales channels and customer experience teams in both retail and wholesale natural gas and electricity markets.

He is a member of the Executive Committee of Gas LNG Europe (GLE) and of the Scientific Committee for Natural Gas, Biomethane & Hydrogen of the Institute of Energy for Southeast Europe. Since June 2024, he has been appointed as Director of the MD Office at Gastrade S.A.

Aleksandar Kovacevic is the an energy economist and author of the energy – poverty analyses (UNDP, 2004) and South East Europe gas market analyses with the Oxford Institute for Energy Studies, co-author of the Western Balkans energy policy survey (IEA / UNDP, 2008) and the World Bank analyses (2003, 2010) and a number of papers and lectures. Over 30 years he provided strategic advice, due diligence, policy innovation, complex energy solutions and emergency situation assistance to major institutional, financial and private clients including to UN OCHA to coordinate rapid reconstruction of Serbia energy infrastructure after 1999 war.

He is the Chairman of the annual Western Balkans Energy Finance Conference, a Member of Advisory Board to the Russian Power Conference from 2002-2014 and contributor to the Oil and Gas Economy and Law (OGEL) network. He won the Innovation Award at the Power Gen Europe Conference at 2002. Aleksandar combines policy work, research and hands-on consultancy. He is an active participant in the Energy Community Treaty process from its inception in 2003 till now and contributor to the SEE 2020 economic development strategy and other key policy documents with the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC). Aleksandar is a regular commentator on energy security, energy policy and economics in major intenrational and regional media. He recently published a strategic assesmsnet with the US Atlantic Council and has contributed presentations with the UNECE Sustainable Energy.

Stella Sofia Kyvelou-Chiotini is a Professor of Spatial Planning and Sustainable Development, an architect-engineer trained at the National Technical University of Athens, and holds a PhD from Paris I–Pantheon–Sorbonne University, with specialist training in European Environmental Policy at the European Institute of Public Administration in Maastricht. She has extensive academic, research and advisory experience in spatial planning, maritime spatial planning, the sustainable blue economy, island and coastal development, energy efficiency in public buildings etc/ Since 2019, she has served as Eastern Mediterranean Sea-basin Expert for the European Maritime Spatial Planning Platform. She is the founder and CEO of SDMED MARIS and a scientific adviser to European initiatives on insularity, territorial cohesion and the blue economy. Her work connects scientific research with public policy, with an emphasis on ecosystem-based approaches, participatory governance and maritime/underwater cultural heritage. She has been appointed Chevalier dans l’Ordre des Palmes Academiques by the French Republic.

Panagiotis Ladakakos is President of the Hellenic Wind Energy Association (HWEA) and Managing Director in companies of the ENTEKA Group. He is a Graduate Electrical Engineer from NTUA specializing in Renewable Energy Sources, a field in which he has been professionally active since 1995. In the context of his professional activity, he has designed, developed and implemented a number of power generation facilities from Renewable Sources (mainly wind farms) with a capacity of hundreds of MW. He has significant research experience during his postgraduate studies at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of NTUA and as a research and development engineer at the Center for Renewable Energy Sources. Dr. Nikolaos Liapis is a Mechanical Engineer (National Technical University of Athens) and holds a PhD from the School of Chemical Engineering of NTUA in Fuel Quality. His main areas of expertise are fuels, biofuels and lubricants, tanker management and logistics. He is an Energy and Business consultant in the Oil, Shipping and Industrial Sectors, specializing in Green Transition. He founded and manages the consulting firm ActaNonVerba.

He has worked for more than 29 years in managerial positions in the Oil Sector. For the last 15 years he has worked as COO at ELINOIL, an oil distribution company, and as General Manager at ELIN SHIPPING, a subsidiary shipping company which manages small tankers. He has extensive experience in project management, overseeing projects such as the design and construction of biodiesel production plant, the construction of fuel depots, and the design and construction of tankers.

Dr. Liapis is the Director of the Hellenic Institute of Marine Technology (HIMT), member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Short Sea Shipping Shipowners (HSSA), President of the Downstream Committee of the Southeast European Energy Institute (IENE) and member of the Technical Committee of RINA and Lloyd's Register. He is a Consultant to the Hellenic Association of Petroleum Products Marketing Companies (SEEPE) and has served as President of the Marine LNG Network, President of the Biofuels Technology Platform and representative of the European Biodiesel Council (EBB) in Greece.

He teaches postgraduate courses at the University of Piraeus, the University of Limassol and the University of West London, on Energy Policies, Decarbonization of Shipping, Maritime Logistics, Marine Technology and Strategic Management. He has been a speaker at a significant number of conferences on energy, fuels, biofuels and shipping. He has participated in a number of research projects and corresponding publications. Vicky Loizou is the Executive Director of the Federation of Industries of Greece (SVE).

She has extensive experience in shaping and implementing public policy in the fields of industry, private investment, economic diplomacy, tourism and structural reforms, having held senior strategic and executive roles in the Greek public administration.

She has served as Secretary General of Industry, Secretary General of Private Investments, Secretary General of International Economic Relations and President of Enterprise Greece, Secretary General for the Coordination of Economic and Development Policies at the Presidency of the Government, and Secretary General of Tourism Policy and Development.

She also brings private-sector experience through her involvement in family businesses in the tourism and construction sectors.

She holds a degree in Political Science and International Relations and an MSc in European Politics and Administration.

Artur Lorkowski is the Director of the Energy Community Secretariat, an international organization responsible for implementing the Energy Community acquis. These EU-aligned regulations are designed to integrate the energy markets of countries neighbouring the European Union (EU) with the EU’s internal market. A native of Poland, Mr. Lorkowski has a distinguished background in diplomacy and policy, having served as Poland's ambassador to Austria. He also worked as the Special Envoy for Climate at the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and was the Deputy Director for Energy and Climate Policy and previously EU Sectoral Policies, where he played a key role in Poland's accession to the European Union in 2004.

Has a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from NTUA since 1992. He obtained an MBA from the University of Portsmouth, UK and holds a PhD from NTUA completing in 2019 his doctoral dissertation in the field of Wholesale Electricity Market Operation and Renewable penetration.

During his professional career he has held upper managerial positions in large companies in the field of FMCGs, such as in the multinational Sara Lee Household & Body Care Hellas and Karamolegos Bakery Industry and was active in collaboration with Katselis Bakery Industry in the fast-growing business sector of organized catering and food retail.

Since 2006 he is active in the field of electricity market. His company, a pioneer in the industry, licensed, developed and interconnected to the grid one of the first centralized PV plants in April 2008. Further as a consultant, he possesses extensive experience in the field of wholesale electricity market operation and licensing of renewables (RES), cogeneration of heat and power (CHP) units and electricity storage plants (BESS). Amit Mor, an energy & environmental economist, energy strategist, and financial analyst, is the CEO of Eco Energy Financial & Strategic Consulting.  He earned his Ph.D. in Energy, Environmental & Mineral Economics at Penn State University (1997). He studied Economics, Finance and Psychology at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Dr. Mor served as a consultant to governments, financial organizations, public and private companies. He specializes in Middle East and European energy including Israel, Cyprus, Greece, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Turley, and other countries in the region.  During the past 35 years he worked intensively on issues concerning the development of the East MED renewable energy and natural gas sectors and led the team that prepared the Energy Master Plan for the State of Israel and participated in the World Bank team that prepared Energy Master Plans for the Palestinian Authority.

Before joining IENE as a Research Fellow in September 2023, Kostis Oikonomopoulos spent over six years at HEREMA SA, Greece, where he served as the primary seismic interpreter and petroleum geoscientist, specialising in prospectivity analyses and regional understanding. In this capacity, he also coordinated two important oil and gas Lease Agreements («West of Crete» and «Southwest of Crete»), offering technical subsurface expertise on licensing matters, stewardship and monitoring of licence work programmes and activities. Also, he assisted in compiling and reviewing contracts regarding seismic acquisition and processing projects and at the same time supervised and managed HEREMA’s data repositoty as well as its digitization and restructuring. Prior to his tenure at HEREMA SA, Kostis worked as a Business Development geoscientist in the UK, for Spectrum Geo Ltd (now TGS) from 2012. In this role, he managed, initiated, and evaluated seismic acquisition and processing projects while liaising and engaging in negotiations with government authorities and National Oil Companies in the Mediterranean Sea, Black Sea and sub-Saharan Africa. Kostis holds a Bachelor’s degree in Geology from the University of Athens and pursued further education with two Master’s degrees—one in hydrocarbons management from the University of Aberdeen and another in petroleum geoscience from the Royal Holloway, University of London. His career began in 2007 as a Petroleum Geologist with Hellenic Petroleum SA (HelleniQ), where he was involved in hydrocarbon exploration work (geological and geophysical) in Egypt.

George Pantelidis is a mechanical engineer from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), with a MSc from Imperial College and he holds the certification of European Energy Manager(EUREM). In ZEB he is head of design and projects. He has been involved in the field of electromechanical installation with over 25 years of experience, both in design and construction. He has more than 1000 hours of lecturing in aspects related to energy efficiency and he is the author of the book “New guide for energy inspections in buildings”. He was a member of the committees responsible for the update of the Technical Guides 2017 from the Technical Chamber of Greece for the energy efficiency of buildings. He is an active member of ASHRAE, as president of the Hellenic Chapter (2019-2020) and as member in various committees of ASHRAE, and he is a certified ASHRAE trainer. He is chartered energy auditor C’ class (Reg. No 1006), energy inspector B’ class (Reg No 4237) and certified LEED AP (Accredited Professional) BD+C.

Costas Papamichail has been Deputy General Manager of the Hellenic Association of Energy Retailers (ESPEN) since 2020. He is an economist and has worked as an expert and project manager on regulatory and economic issues in the energy sector, both in Greece and internationally, advising international organisations, government and regulatory authorities, energy companies and investors.

His areas of expertise include the design and assessment of regulatory frameworks for energy markets, cost-benefit analysis and financial analysis of infrastructure projects, investment planning for energy networks, and economic analysis and assessment of markets.

He holds a degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) and an M.Phil. in Economics from the University of Oxford.

Dr. Alexandros Papaspyridis is the Managing Director of Nefos Consulting, based in the United Arab Emirates, and an advisor on Artificial Intelligence (AI) strategy and business adoption. He brings extensive international experience in technology and digital transformation, having held senior leadership positions at Microsoft across Europe, Asia, and globally.

Through Nefos Consulting, he advises businesses and organisations on AI strategy, governance, and organisational adoption, helping them translate technological capabilities into measurable improvements in productivity, competitiveness, and operational effectiveness.

Of particular interest to the energy sector is the dual relationship between AI and energy: on the one hand, AI's potential to optimise energy consumption and improve the performance of energy and industrial systems; on the other, the growing demand for electricity and infrastructure driven by the rapid expansion of AI and data centres. His focus includes the implications of this interdependence for business competitiveness and the broader energy transition.

During his 15-year career at Microsoft, he served, among other leadership roles, as Worldwide Director for Azure Data & AI in Education. He holds a PhD in Electronic Engineering from Imperial College London and serves on the College's Industrial Liaison Board. He regularly participates as a speaker and moderator at international conferences on Artificial Intelligence and digital transformation.

Dr. Stavros Papathanasiou is a professor at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of NTUA. His area of expertise is renewable generation, electricity storage and electricity grids. He is active in the field for more than 30 years, having engaged in R&D and consulting activities for renewable energy and storage technologies, their network integration and market participation, the application of RES and storage on islands, as well as for major interconnection projects. He has collaborated with State institutions, regulatory authorities and network operators and he is actively consulting major investment projects in Greece and abroad. He has supported the development, approval and implementation of recent State-aid support schemes for RES and storage in Greece, participated in the development of the latest NECP edition and has coordinated the Ministry of Environment and Energy Task Forces on Storage, RES curtailments and management of congestion and the Committee dealing with grid access of offshore wind power.

Marie-Athena is an international environmental and energy lawyer and non-practising barrister, with extensive professional experience across the United Kingdom, Europe and Greece.

She was educated in France and the United Kingdom, holding a Doctorate in International Comparative Law from the University of Paris II Pantheon-Assas (Sorbonne), as well as an LL.M. and JD in International Environmental Law and Policy from the London School of Economics. She began her academic career as a Postgraduate Research Assistant in Marine Environmental Law, focusing on marine pollution.
Marie-Athena has extensive experience as Counsel in the shipping, infrastructure and energy sectors and has advised on projects across the UK, Europe and Greece.

She has also served as General Counsel EMEA for a major global energy corporation, developing substantial expertise in renewable energy, energy infrastructure and the energy transition.

She currently focuses on energy sustainability, environmental governance and emerging energy technologies, combining her legal expertise with a strong interest in Europe's energy security, competitiveness and decarbonisation. She is a Board Member and Adviser to several foundations and organisations.

Marie-Athena is a Research Fellow at the Institute of Energy for South-East Europe (IENE), where she focuses on the legal and institutional framework governing nuclear applications in the maritime sector and energy infrastructure. She has co-authored research on the role and potential of nuclear energy in shipping decarbonisation.

Her current research examines the emerging role of advanced nuclear technologies, including Nuclear maritime applications.n supporting decarbonisation, Energy Security and the future competitiveness of European industry and shipping, with particular focus on the potential role of Greece.

Panagiotis E. Petrakis is an Emeritus Professor in the Department of Economics at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

His academic fields of activity include Economic Development, Banking, Investment Appraisal, International Economics, Economic History, and the Greek Economy.

He has served in positions of public responsibility, as a board member and as a member of scientific committees in both the private and public sectors. He has numerous publications in high-impact international academic journals and is the author of studies and textbooks on topics such as foresight, economic development, entrepreneurship, cultural background, and behavioral economics.

Andreas Petropouleas has MSc in Finance & Banking, Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB), MSc in Electrical Power Engineering, University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST), BSc & MSc in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Democritus University of Thrace (DUTH), Since February 2010 he works at ELPEDISON S.A. (Joint Venture of EDISON SpA & HELLENIC PETROLEUM S.A.) as its Energy Management Director. In this context he is in charge of the management of the  commercial operation & economic optimisation of the current asset infrastructure (Two Power Plants of 830MW installed capacity), the management of the Dispatching Team/Strategy, together with the management of Natural Gas wholesale activity as well as the Cross Border Activity (IT, South East Europe) & CFDs. From June 2005 to January 2010 he was Commercial Manager of ELPEDISON Power S.A. (Former: Thessaloniki Power S.A). He was responsible for the commercial organization and business development of the first IPP, 400MW CCGT, in Greece. From January 2003 until June 2005 he worked in the Hellenic Transmission System Operator (HTSO) as a Senior Energy Analyst in the Power Exchange Department responsible for wholesale and retail market measurements. From June 2001 until January 2003 he was Project Engineer of TITAN Cement S.A. with responsibilities involving system studies, design and project management of new projects of the TITAN Cement factories in Greece and abroad. From November 1999 until June 2001 he worked in ALSTOM (Greek Branch) as a Sales Engineer.

His responsibilities involved promotion of Power Generation and T&D products like: Medium voltage Indoor and outdoor Switchgear for primary and secondary distribution, Distribution and Power transformers, M.V & H.V Substations. Furthermore, was responsible for the after sales service and customer care of MV & HV transformers. He served as Member of the Transmission and Distribution Networks committee of National Technical Chamber (TEE) of Greece (2005 -2008). He contributed in the Master Plan research into the International airports of Corfu in cooperation with the Spiekermann GMBH (consulting engineers). (1999). Apostolos Petropoulos has 12 years of experience in the energy sector, with a focus on electromobility and end-use sectors. Born in 1963 in Athens, George Polychroniou graduated from “Lycee Leonin” Franco-Hellenic high school in 1981 and then earned a degree in Chemical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) in 1986. As the founding shareholder and CEO of Energean, Mathios has led the company since its inception in 2007. A Petroleum Engineer by training, he previously structured more than $5 billion in mainly oil & gas financing at Chase Manhattan Bank in London, later leading private equity investments as Managing Partner of Capital Connect Venture Partners and heading Piraeus Bank’s shipping division.

A pioneer in sustainability within the E&P sector, he became the first upstream CEO to commit to a net-zero strategy in 2019, positioning Energean as a European ESG leader. The company has since earned multiple awards for sustainability and environmental responsibility.

John M. Roberts is a senior partner with Methinks Ltd, a consultancy specializing in the inter-relationship between energy, economic development, and politics. He is also a non-resident Senior Fellow at the Global Energy Centre, Atlantic Council, Washington DC. He is currently researching European energy security issues, including the role of Turkey in European energy security, Russian gas deliveries to Europe, the development of new supply pipelines and interconnectors within Europe, and the energy security implications of gas discoveries in the Eastern Mediterranean.

Roberts is a respected energy analyst who has testified to UK parliamentary committees on Middle Eastern, Russian, Caspian, Turkish and Kurdish energy security issues. He has lectured widely on a variety of subjects, including the development of Arctic oil and gas, the impact of social and political unrest in the Middle East and boundary disputes in the Caspian Sea. His recent papers include Democracy in Turkey: Implications for Regional Energy Security (JNU, Delhi, March 2017); Olive trees hold up Southern Gas Corridor (Platts Energy Economist, April 2017); and Iranian Gas Export Prospects and Energy Security (FLAME, Amsterdam, May 2017).

Roberts has recently completed studies for the Atlantic Council on oil and gas in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, on gas interconnectors in Europe, and on the development of Russia’s Turkish Stream pipeline and its impact on the development of the Southern Gas Corridor to connect the Caspian to Europe. Private consultancy work has included investigation of investment conditions in Abu Dhabi and Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 programme. He is currently preparing a study on the Russia-China-Turkmenistan gas triangle.

Nikos Satras, Msc Chemical Engineer (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki), MBA Lancaster University, UK.

He leads the natural gas business unit of Motor Oil Hellas. He has over 27 years of extensive experience including oil refining, field operations, Project Development in USA and Italy with Chevron and Foster Wheeler respectively, strategic planning and new business development.

In the natural gas field he has been involved since 2004 from the initial connection agreement of Motor Oil Hellas Refinery with the natural gas grid and followed all the steps of the liberalization of the market since the emblematic import of the 1st private LNG cargo in 2010. Currently, he is developing a strategic project for the security of supply and the competitiveness of the natural gas market in Greece and South East Europe, namely “DIORYGA GAS” a Floating Storage & Regasification Unit.

Nikolaos Sofianos worked for IENE for ten years (2007 - 2017) firstly as a Researcher and later as Research Coordinator of the Institute. He is a graduate of the department of History and Philosophy of Science of the National Kapodistrian University of Athens while he holds a master’s degree in Economic Development from the University of Glasgow in Scotland. He has carried out extensive research into Renewable Energy Sources and their implementation in SE Europe. He was the Coordinator of the EU funded research project Geofar. His main area of interest is energy policy issues. He participates as a publishing assistant in the "Energy Issues" (IENE Monthly Newsletter) and in the "SE Europe Energy Brief" (a series of newsletters issued by the Institute). In addition, he has written many articles on energy while he has participated as a speaker at numerous conferences, seminars and workshops in Greece and abroad. Since 2016, he participates in the Board of IENE as a partner. Finally, he is currently a permanent external research associate, regularly contributing to the analysis of energy market issues.

Dr. Philip-Mark Spanidis is a Rural and Surveying Engineer and a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece, as well as a member of the Committee for Geopolitics of the Institute of Energy for Southeast Europe (IENE). He holds a MEng degree from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, an MSc in the Management of Industrial Systems from the National Technical University of Athens, and a PhD in Technology Management of Hydrocarbon Transportation Systems from the University of Piraeus. He currently serves as a Project Manager at ASPROFOS Engineering S.A., where he leads multidisciplinary projects of high complexity focused on the transportation, storage, and distribution of oil and gas. In addition to his primary responsibilities, he is actively engaged in the management of environmental engineering and safety projects within the same organization.

Dr. Philip-Mark Spanidis is also a research associate and scientific advisor in the Department of Industrial Management and Technology at the University of Piraeus and the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of West Attica. His academic interests include energy geopolitics, geoeconomic corridors, regional security, and project and risk engineering/management. His research output includes over 50 publications in peer-reviewed journals, academic books, and international conference proceedings, with a total of 230 citations. He supervises MSc theses and serves as a reviewer for academic journals in the fields of environmental science, safety engineering, industrial geopolitics, and energy systems.

Mr. Costis Stambolis who is the Executive Director of IENE, has a background in Physics and Architecture having studied at the University of London, the North East London Polytechnic (NELP) and the Architectural Association in London from where he holds a Graduate Diploma in Architecture and Energy Studies (AA Dip. Grad). He also holds a professional practice license from the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE), and a Masters Degree from the Said Business School, University of Oxford, where he studied "Strategy and Innovation”.

Costis has carried out numerous studies and projects on Renewable Energy Sources in developing countries. He has consulted widely on solar building applications for both private and institutional clients in various European countries. He has worked as a consultant and strategy advisor on natural gas, oil markets and energy security issues for large multinational companies, international organizations and governments.

Costis has lectured widely on energy issues and has organised several national, regional and international conferences, seminars and workshops. He has published several books, conference proceedings, research papers and studies on energy policy, solar energy, RES and energy markets. Among pthers he is the editor of  the "S.E. Europe Energy Outlook (2011,2017, 2022)”, which considered a basic reference on energy for SE Europe.

Since 2001 he supervises and edits daily Greece’s foremost energy sitewww.energia.gr. He is a founding member of the Institute of Energy for South East Europe (IENE), which he currently chairs. He is a member of the Energy Institute (UK), the International Passive House Association (IPHA), The Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE). Giorgos Stamtsis was born in 1974 in Germany and holds a Diploma in Electrical Engineering from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, while he has an Engineering Doctorate (Dr.-Ing.) from the University of Duisburg-Essen in Germany.

He has extensive experience in the energy sector, focusing on liberalized energy markets and renewables. From 2014 to the present, he holds the position of General Manager of the Hellenic Association of Independent Power Companies (HAIPP), having served as Deputy General Manager in HAIPP during the period 2012-2014. From 2010 until 2012, he was a Senior Advisor to the Secretary General of Energy and Climate Change in the respective Greek Ministry, while he had previously worked as Commercial and Trading Manager in Endesa Hellas (joint company of Endesa SA and Mytilineos SA) during 2007-2010 and in the Energy Supplies & Trading department of Mytilineos SA (2005-2007). In 2024, Dr. Stamtsis has served as President of Develop Athens SA.

Giorgos N. Stasinos is a Dipl. Civil Engineer, a graduate of the University of Patras and works as a Freelance Engineer and Engineering Consultant. He is elected President of the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE - TCG) from 2015 to the present and member of the TEE Congress from 2006 to the present. He is a member of the Steering Committee of TEE, President of the TEE – TMEDE Institute, a member of the Board of the Organization for the Promotion of Alternative Methods of Dispute Resolution (OPEMED), a member of the Economic and Social Committee of Greece (OKE) and an elected external member of the Management Council of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (EKPA - UoA). He has served as President of the National Youth Council (2004-2010) and President of the Civil Engineers Association of Greece (2012-2014).

Prof. Vasileios Syros is an Honorary Adjunct Fellow at the National Maritime Foundation (NMF), India's premier think tank for maritime research, and a Life Member of Clare Hall, University of Cambridge. He is currently a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute for European Global Studies, University of Basel (Switzerland), and a faculty member of the MSc programme in Leadership: Ethics and Politics at the University of Athens. His areas of specialization include medieval and early modern political thought, cross-cultural leadership, comparative political theory, and Indian strategic thought.

Efthimios Tartaras, leads the Geoscience department at HEREMA, overseeing carbon capture and storage (CCS) and hydrocarbon exploration. With over 20 years of experience in senior management and business development within the natural resources exploration industry, he has worked across Europe, including the UK, France, Italy and Norway.

Throughout his career, Efthimios has managed large, multi-disciplinary teams focused on integrating and interpreting geoscientific data. He has also led global sales and marketing of geoscience software and multi-physics data acquisition, processing and interpretation.

He holds a BS in Geology from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece), and MS and PhD degrees in Geophysics from the University of Utah (USA). His research expertise focuses on subsurface characterization and data interpretation for hydrocarbon, mineral and geothermal exploration.

Theodoros D. Terzopoulos has over 35 years of distinguished experience in the energy and gas distribution sector, having successfully combined technical excellence with strategic leadership throughout both the foundation and the structural transformation of Greece’s gas distribution industry.

He has served in a number of senior executive positions, including General Manager of Gas Distribution Activities at DEPA S.A., Director of Strategic Development at ENAON S.A., and Chief Executive Officer of EDA S.A. and of DEDA S.A.

Throughout his career, he has been a driving force behind the introduction and large-scale implementation of innovative gas distribution technologies in Greece, such as HDPE pipelines, 4-bar distribution networks, and advanced trenchless boring techniques. He has also led the organizational restructuring and unbundling of gas distribution and trading activities, aligning the sector with EU energy directives and enabling a competitive and transparent market environment.

A strong advocate for sustainability and energy transition, he actively contributes to the development of the biomethane and renewable gas sector in Greece, fostering synergies between innovation, infrastructure, and environmental policy.

Under his leadership, DEDA S.A. achieved major advancements in digital transformation, LNG utilization, and the nationwide rollout of smart gas metering systems, establishing new benchmarks for efficiency and service quality.

He has held distinguished memberships in the Engineering Council and the Institution of Gas Engineers in the United Kingdom, reflecting his longstanding engagement with international professional standards in the energy sector.

He currently serves as a Member of the Governing Board and chairs the Committee on Natural Gas, Biomethane, and Hydrogen at the Institute of Energy for South-East Europe (IENE), where he contributes to strategic dialogue and policy development across the region’s low-carbon gas landscape.

He holds a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, with postgraduate qualifications in Environmental and Gas Engineering, as well as an MBA.

His work focuses on the strategic development of integrated energy systems, the decarbonization of gas networks, and the acceleration of Greece’s transition towards a low-carbon energy future.

Is a USA trained Mechanical Engineer with an MSc from the University of Evansville, Indianna, and has 25 years experience in the energy sector. Constantinos’s special interests includes cogeneration and RES and was for many years chairman of Greece’s Cogeneration Association and also member of the executive council of COGEN Europe. He has served as chairman and CEO of the Athens based Centre of Renewable Energy Sources (CRES).

Michael Thomadakis is the Chief Strategy & Development Officer of DESFA, member of the Board of GIE and of ENNOH, actively engaged in enhancing the routes of molecules toward energy transition. Before 2020, he was the Vice Chairman and Member of the Board of RAE from 2005 to 2015, member of the BoR of ACER, the CEER General Assembly, the Board of MEDREG, the Board of Appeal of ACER and Chairman of the Investment Group of the Energy Charter. He has extensive experience in the development of the gas regulatory framework of the Greek gas market, and deeply involved in corresponding developments in South East Europe, especially in the regulatory framework for several gas infrastructure projects related to the Southern Gas Corridor. Started his carrier in DEPA, were he worked as the contractual administrator of the Gas Procurement contracts from Russia (pipeline) and Algeria (LNG), the LNG transportation contracts, the development of underground gas storage, the derivation of transportation tariffs and on the establishment of the Gas Distribution Companies in Greece. He is a Mechanical Engineer of NTU Athens with a PhD from the same University. He is the author of more than 40 scientific papers and reports and invited lecturer in many events of the energy industry worldwide.

Until 2002, he held positions in management, consulting, sales, and supervision of electromechanical constructions, in various companies in Thessaloniki and Athens. During the period 2002 - 2016, he worked for EPA Attiki SA (Attiki Gas Supply Company), holding successively the positions of Key Account Manager, B2B Sales Manager, Customer Technical Service Director, and Technical Director. From 2017 till mid-2019, following the successful split of EPA Attiki in 2016 in two companies for Supply and Distribution respectively, he undertook the positions of Distribution Operating (Technical and Commercial) Director and then, that of Commercial Director at the newly established EDA Attikis SA (Attiki Natural Gas Distribution Company). During the period 2019-2023, he was the Deputy CEO & Executive Member of the Board of Directors at EYDAP SA (Athens Water Supply and Sewerage Company). Then till September 2024, he was the Head of Strategy & New Gas Division of ENAON (former DEPA Infrastructure), a company of Italgas Group.

He holds a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, an MSc in Technical Change and Industrial Strategy from the Alliance Manchester Business School, UK, as well as an Executive Diploma in Business Administration (SHELL mini-MBA) from ALBA Graduate Business School, Greece. He has also completed the Leadership Development Program Advanced (PLDA) at Harvard Business School, USA, and the International Directors Program at INSEAD, France.

He has extensive experience in utilities and energy market, being a member of management teams since 2009. Yannis is Partner at the PwC Strategy team and leads the relevant energy related projects.

He joined PwC in 2022, and he is actively managing among others various projects in the field of corporate energy strategies, business plans for new green energy technologies and applications, design and analysis of RES/BESS strategies and opportunities, assessment of energy investments and due diligence, as well as activities related to energy markets, policy and regulatory support.

He had as senior energy expert, continuous participation in National and European technical and regulatory committees in the field of Renewables Sources, Energy Efficiency and Energy Planning for more than 18yrs and among others member in committees related to hydrogen strategy, storage framework, decarbonization of islands, new RES support schemes. He  has also been key author of the Greek NECP (2018-2020) and of various legislative acts and market related guidelines in the past.

He has also been BoD member of the Hellenic Energy Exchange until joining PwC and has a 20yr past professional experience in GIZ GmbH, CRES and DG-JRC Institute of Energy.

Nikolaos Vourgidis is an Electrical and Computer Engineer, Researcher and PhD Candidate at the Decision Support Systems Laboratory (EPU-NTUA), National Technical University of Athens. His research focuses on advancing energy efficiency in the industrial sector through the development of decision support tools that facilitate the implementation of energy-saving measures derived from energy audits, incorporating non-energy benefits and digitalisation aspects. He has held leading roles in several EU-funded projects, contributing to the design and demonstration of innovative approaches for industrial decarbonisation and energy management. His broader work integrates energy policy analysis, corporate sustainability, and digital innovation to support the green transition of European industries.

Dr. Xenos holds a Diploma and PhD in Chemical Engineering. He has a long-term working experience in Industry and in several Companies in Greece and abroad. He has an extensive experience in public and private management positions such as: Managing Director of "Hellenic Saltworks SA", "EYDAP SA", "THRYLOS SA", Chairman and Managing Director of "HELLENIC AEROSPACE INDUSTRY SA".

Currently, Dr Xenos works as an independent consultant, providing consulting services in Solid Waste Management, Water Management, Reorganization of Water Supply and Sewerage Companies, Renewable Energy, etc.He has been involved in several Research Programmes and Feasibility Studies, in evaluating Investment Projects as well as in National and Regional Development Programmes.

He also has teaching experience (University of Ioannina). Dr Xenos is the author of four books and has also published several Articles in International Journals. He has also participated in various National and International Conferences.

George Xiradakis was born in Athens and grew up in Volos. He graduated from the Nautical Marine Academy of Aspropyrgos and holds a diploma in Commercial Operations from City of London Polytechnic and a MSc in Maritime Studies from the University of Wales. He served as Senior Manager at Credit Lyonnais in Athens and Paris. In 1999, he founded XRTC Business Consultants, acting as commercial representative of foreign banks and institutions in the Greek shipping market. He is a reference banker for Chinese financing, with long-standing ties to major Chinese financial institutions, and serves as Senior Advisor for Greece following XRTC’s cooperation with Huayang Maritime Center Co. Ltd.

He is President of the Association of Banking and Financial Executives of Hellenic Shipping, Board Member of AB Bank, VP of the Heraklion Port Authority, Deputy Director of the Shipping Finance Committee of the China Institute of Navigation, and Board Member of Nasdaq-listed Imperial Petroleum Inc., C3is Inc. and Rubico Inc.
